Speech Design has chalked up another success. At the VO.IP Germany trade show, held in Frankfurt on October 30-31, the company won first place in the VO.IP Germany Awards in the Mobility category. This area includes solutions that integrate mobile communications and mobile offices. Last year, Speech Design took second place in the VO.IP Germany Awards in the Applications category.
Matthias Köppe, Speech Design Sales Manager, gave a live demonstration of the functions of the Mobility Server at the trade show. "A visitor in the audience called me on my cell phone, and I transferred the call to the desk phone via seamless handover." Seamless handover allows uninterrupted transfer of GSM calls to any landline, mobile or IP phone, such as the landline phone at the company, in the hotel or in the home office. Köppe’s presentation also highlighted the conference functions and the capability to record calls.
In addition to the live demonstration, the solution won the Mobility Award due to its technical innovations, ease of use and ability to be integrated into existing solutions. The jurors also judged the scalability and cost-effectiveness of the mobility application. The Teleserver Mobile Pro server solution connects mobile communications and landline telephony, and enables cell phones to be used just like regular office phones. This technology from Speech Design is also the technical basis of the new “Octopus Mobility Services“ from T-Systems, which allows a company’s employees to have all the functions of an office phone on their cell phones. For a fixed monthly rate, the mobile terminals are integrated into the existing telecommunications system.
